Indications and Usage

Care-Tech^® Environmental Disinfectant System is a hard surface disinfectant and space deodorant. It is effective against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella choleraesius, staphylococcus aureus, and other odor-causing bacteria on inanimate environmental surfaces such as toilet seats, telephones, wash basins, metal beds and springs, trash receptacles, carts, exam tables, hampers, lockers, door knobs and tile. As a space spray, E.D.S. is effective in deodorizing locker rooms, meeting rooms, bathrooms and shower stalls, classrooms, closets, laundry chutes, and sick rooms. Primary usage in hospitals, nursing homes, hotels, motels, motor vehicles, schools, colleges, and office buildings. For use in the household.

Effective mildewstat on pre-cleaned, hard, non-porus environmental surfaces.

Clinical Pharmacology

Active Ingredients consist of:

• n-Alkyl (C14 60%, C16 30%, C12 5%, C18 5%)
• dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride 0.13%
• n-Alkyl (C12 50%, C14 30%, C16 17%, C18 3%)
• dimethyl ethylbenzyl ammonium chloride 0.13%
• Inert Ingredients: 99.74%

Precautions

KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.

Flammable. Keep away from heat or open flame. Hazardous to Humans and Domestic Animals. Avoid contamination of food, water or animal feed. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. This product must be kept under locked storage sufficient to make it inaccessible to children or persons unfamiliar with its proper use.

Microbiology/Disinfection

Official Method of Analysis of the A.O.A.C. Ready-to-use solution - do not dilute. Hard surface contact: 10 minutes.

Dosage and Administration

Disinfecting: Remove gross filth and heavy soil deposits. Preclean all surfaces prior to disinfection. Hold sprayer 6-8 inches from surface and spray until surface is thoroughly wet for a contact time of 10 minutes. Air dry or wipe dry.

Deodorize

Use as space spray. Spray towards center of room, the number of spray strokes will be dependent on room size and severity of odor problem.

Infection Control

*Note: E.D.S. is not a surfactant/disinfectant blend. It is a primary disinfectant without cleansing capability. Hard surfaces, grossly contaminated with dirt must be pre-cleaned with Mop Magic detergent. Care-Tech^® does not support or condone the practice of utilizing "perfumed spray products" to mask or cover-up dirt and bacterial contamination sources. Use of these product types represent an environmental health hazard. There is no substitute for proper cleaning and proper disinfectation with appropriate chemical technology.
